English grammar is the worst

“I had swum in the sea before I had drunk a few beers.” (Past Perfect)
[subject pronoun, primary auxiliary verb, verb, preposition, definite article, conjunction, verb, indefinite article, determiner, noun]
–an action completed in the past before another past action

“Grammar can get stuffed.” (Present Simple)
[subject noun, modal auxiliary verb, semi-modal auxiliary / phrasal verb]
–stating things that are true in general

“I will have erased the phrase ‘ought to’ by the time I am in charge of the English-speaking world.” (Future Perfect)
[subject pronoun, primary auxiliary verb, main verb, definite article, noun, modal auxiliary verb, preposition, definite article, noun, proper noun, phrasal verb, preposition, definite article, compound adjective, noun.]
–an action that will have been completed at a specific time in the future

PS. We are obviously not studying for our test tomorrow. {Present Continuous) [subject pronoun, primary verb, adverb, main verb, preposition, possessive pronoun, noun, noun] –an action that is in progress at the time of speaking
